The Poet I am John R. Shuman, and I have been called A writer, a poet and even a sage, Because I can take the thoughts in my brain And turn them into words on a page. I write about ideas, ponderings, mental images, I can even freeze a moment in time, Because my brain will transfer them Into simple little verses that rhyme. I ponder upon ideas in my mind Or dwell on the love in my heart. The poems that I have created Are my masterpieces (my works of art.) I write about my unwavering faith In the Father, Son and the Holy Ghost, My spoken prayers, or a Bible verse I change them into inspirational prose. I can take emotions or feelings (Like when you are elated or sad) And turn them into sonnets (I will even admit that some are bad.)
